7th (The Princess Royal’s) Dragoon Guards Other Ranks 1871 Pattern Helmet Plate, Officers’ Pouch Badges and Horse Furniture, the other ranks helmet plate of standard format, the elongated white metal star mounted with a brass Garter Proper and enclosing a white metal ‘7’ on a ground of black patent leather (top-most point of the star is weak), the badge from an officer’s pouch in die stamped copper gilt ‘PRDG’ two pierced loop fasteners (no gilt remains), an earlier pouch badge in cast brass being a princess’s coronet over ‘PRDG’ this mounted with ‘VII’ three pierced fasteners; a brass and white metal box pattern harness slide the mount being crowned oak sprays enclosing a circle ‘Princess Royal’s’ the domed centre reading ‘VII/DG’ (centre heavily worn), good overall condition except where stated (4) £80-120
