2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen’s Bays) Other Ranks 1871 Pattern Helmet Plate NCO’s KC Arm Badges. The helmet plate of standard format, the white metal elongated star mounted with the Garter Proper in brass, in the centre on a ground of patent leather a white metal ‘2’. The first NCO’s arm badge of collar badge size but in die-cast silver plate (two copper loop fasteners), the next of larger format in unmarked silver coloured metal, with bottom scroll ‘Pro Rege Et Patria’, the reverse stamped ‘M.H.OS’ (3 unmarked loop fasteners), a similar pattern in die-cast silver plate (3 copper loop fasteners), together with a large Imperial crown in gilding metal, all fasteners present, the four screw post fasteners on the helmet plate are all reduced, otherwise good overall condition (5) £100-160
