1st (King’s) Dragoon Guards Other Ranks Helmet Plate 1871 Pattern, Three Items of Horse Furniture. The first of standard pattern elongated white metal star overlaid with a brass Garter Proper enclosing a white metal ‘1’ on a black patent leather ground, complete with all four screw post fasteners; a circular brass harness slide mounted with a silver plated KC over a similar ‘KDG’ monogram; the third in heavy die-cast brass being a Guelphic crown over the Garter Proper enclosing the ‘VR’ cypher, complete with original leather backing, one small buckle to one of the star finials on the first item otherwise very fine condition (3) £60-120
