Hugh Denison Pierce died on 21 January 1941, while serving in the destroyer H.M.S. Sikh, and is buried in Nottingham South Cemetery. The Sikh had earlier been actively employed in operations off Norway in 1940. The above described forwarding box is addressed to ‘Mrs. D. M. Campbell, 52 Repton Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham.’
