Private John Pearce, South Wales Borderers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 24 September 1915. Serving with the 6th Battalion in France he earned the Military Medal. Transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 20 January 1919. Serving as a Stoker with the R.F.R., he was awarded the Long Service Medal in July 1934. With copied m.i.c., gazette and roll extracts.
