Royal Meath Militia Officer’s Shako Plate 1855 Pattern, a fine quality example in silver plate, crowned star pattern back plate with circular mount ‘Royal Meath Militia’, in the centre on a domed ground a large shamrock leaf decorated with shamrock sprays, complete with both loop fasteners, the bottom star point crudely shortened for use on the 1861 pattern shako otherwise very good condition £400-600
