Charles Thomas Price was born at Montgomery on the Welsh-Shropshire border and enlisted in the South Wales Borderers at Brecon in November 1883, aged 25 years. He subsequently served in India and Burma in the period 1884-91, his Medal & 2 clasps being confirmed on his discharge papers.

Placed on the Army Reserve in May 1891, re-enlisted for another four years in ‘Section D’ in April 1896 and was recalled to regular service in December 1899. However, he saw no further active service and was again discharged to the Army Reserve in April 1901; sold with copied research.
