Albert Edward Walker enlisted into the Welch Regiment on 27 July 1922, and was discharged having been convicted by the Civil Power on 26 July 1929. He re-enlisted into the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps on 27 March 1940 and served throughout the Second World War, being finally discharged on 10 February 1954.
