Henry John Temple was born in and enlisted at Winchester. Serving with the 11th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 18 December 1915. He was killed in action on 9 April 1916, aged 39 years. Buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Loos, Pas de Calais; he was the husband of Lydia Temple of 26 Wharf Hill, Winchester. Sold with copied m.i.c.
