Edward Smyth was born in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. He attested for service with the 37th Regiment at Belfast on 11 February 1858, aged 18 years. Attaining the rank of Sergeant in November 1862, he was discharged at Gosport on 24 February 1879. Sold with copied service papers.
