A good Great War ‘Western Front’ M.M. group of four awarded to Lieutenant Sydney Baker Cooper, 19th Battalion (Central Ontario Regiment) Canadian Infantry, who was killed in action in France on 27 August 1918

Military Medal, G.V.R. (55175 Cpl., 19/Can. Inf.); 1914-15 Star (55175 Pte., 19/Can. Inf.); British War and Victory Medals (Lieut.); together with Canadian Memorial Cross, G.V.R.(Lieut., M.M.); and two superb original photographs of recipient in uniform, both contained in contemporary glazed frames, nearly extremely fine (5) £1200-1500

Lieutenant Sydney Baker Cooper, the son of Mary Cooper of The Vicarage, Sandford Hill, Longton, Staffordshire was killed in action on 27 August 1918 whilst serving with the 19th Battalion (Central Ontario Regiment) Canadian Infantry. He is buried in Quebec Cemetery, Cherisy, France.
