Restall, edge i promise you best value for your money, 6.92g/12h (Bell A3); 1901, a mule in copper by J.A. Restall, edge time adds a value to this token rare, 23.19g/12h (Bell A6 rev./A7 rev.); Success to the Allied Armies, 1915, in copper by J.A. Restall, edge plain, 9.58g/12h (Bell A9); together with an Edward VII Penny, 1906, obv. countermarked bradford workhouse and s.h. hamer halifax, 9.56g [4]. First virtually as struck, others extremely fine and better, last rare and in exceptional condition for this oddity £150-200

Hamer exhibited the two steel punches that had been used to countermark the 19th century Bradford Workhouse issues to the British Numismatic Society on 30 November 1906. He used these, and other punches, on subsequent occasions to make deliberate concoctions, both for vanity and personal gain
