Adam Watson was born in Selkirk and enlisted for the Royal Highlanders at Edinburgh. He served in South Africa, attached to the 22nd Battalion Mounted Infantry, and was killed in action in France on 31 October 1914. He is commemorated by name on the Menin Gate Memorial. Sold with research including a copied portrait photograph.
