Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Corpl. Hy. Leedham, 1st Bn. 4th Regt.) officially impressed naming, rank engraved; Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Sergt. H. Leedham, 1st Batn. 4th [Regt.]) rank engraved; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (C. H. Leedham 4th K.O. Regt.) privately engraved naming, fitted with a replacement ‘British Crimea’ style suspension, edge bruising, contact marks,very fine and better (3) £400-500

Henry Leedham was born in Burton-on-Trent. He enlisted at Liverpool on 9 September 1854, aged 17 years. Arrived in the Crimea aboard the Imperatuz on 26 January 1855. In the suppression of the Indian Mutiny he was present at the attack and capture of the village of Manditta, 22 August 1858. Served in India until November 1864. Promoted to Corporal in May 1860 and Sergeant in April 1862, reduced to Private in April 1865. Discharged after completing his service on 29 April 1865. Later served as Drum Major in the 10th (Stoke) Staffordshire Volunteers. With copied research.
