Bombay Byculla Club Presentation Medal, fac-simile of the Gold Medal weighing 1 lb. that was presented in 1858 to Sheth Nesserwanjee Furdoonjee, late Steward of the Club, comprising two uniface gilt white-metal castings, with integral ornate suspension loop, the reverse engraved ‘Presented by the Members of the Byculla Club to Sheth Nesserwanjee Furdoonjee, late Steward of the Club in token of their respect for him and appreciation of his zealous and faithful services for many years’, together with a contemporary leather-bound book of Testimonials granted to Nesserwanjee Furdoonjee, ‘late Steward, Byculla Club and late Superintendent Government Distillery, Surat’, circa 1875, containing portrait photograph of the recipient and the medal, with numerous testimonials and extracts from letters from many civil and military dignitaries, very fine and rare £200-300
