Cyril Percy Nelson Trent was born in Winfrith and lived and enlisted at Dorchester. He served originally with the North Somerset Yeomanry and the Somerset Light Infantry. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, 5 November 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Awoingt British Cemetery. He was the son of Nelson and Mary Jane Trent, of Gatmore Hill, Winfrith, Dorchester.
