Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Guadaloupe (Joseph Moss, Royal West India Rangers) edge bruising and contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine and rare £1200-1500

Only one officer and nine men from this regiment received the medal. Moss is shown on Mullens’ roll as Sergeant Edward Moss.

Joseph Moss was born in the Parish of Witham, Essex, and enlisted into the Royal West India Rangers on 18 February 1807. He served in the West Indies for 8 years 326 days, for the most part as a Drummer, and was discharged at Dominica on 16 June 1816, having completed his period of service. Sold with copied discharge papers.
