M.B.E. London Gazette 24 April 1953.

Recommendation states: ‘Captain Turner has been QM since November 1951 and his work in this respect has been of the highest order, and his service to the numerous units that compose the FMA has been such, that demands and requests which to a normal individual appear to be impossible, are met by him through a combination of hard work, improvisation and ingenuity. Despite the long hours that he has to work in the performance of his duties, he manages to find time to take a great interest in the welfare of the men and much of what little leisure he has is spent on their behalf. The relative smooth running of HQ and units is in no small way due to his efforts and his services in the present conflict are truly deserving of recognition’.

First commissioned 16 November 1947, Captain Turner was employed as Quartermaster HQ FMA, at Seoul, January-December 1952. Sold with copied recommendation.
