Walter Sales enlisted into the Army on 4 July 1901. As a Private in the 1st Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 10 September 1914. He was discharged on 28 February 1916 due to wounds. Clasp confirmed. Entitled to Silver War Badge. With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.
