Mustan (or Mastan) Singh was also the recipient of the India General Service Medal 1895-1902, with clasps for ‘Punjab Frontier 1897-98’, ‘Malakand 1897’ and Tirah 1897-98’. He was appointed Jemadar in November 1902.
