Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Chas. Thomson, 92nd Highlanders) fitted with silver ribbon buckle, nearly very fine £200-250

Charles Thomson was born in West Church, Edinburgh, in about 1837, and was a flesher by trade. He enlisted into the 92nd Highlanders at Edinburgh on 3 September 1855. He served with the detachment of the 92nd which formed part of the Mhow Field Force, under the command of Major-General John Michel, and which pursued the remnant of the rebels under Tantia Topee. During this campaign he was present at the actions at Rajghur (15 September), Mongrowlee (9 October), Sindwaho (19 October), and Kurrai (25 October). He returned to the United Kingdom in 1863 and was discharged at Aldershot on 4 September 1865. Sold with full muster details.
