William Henry Callard was on in Paignton, Devon on 12 February 1852. He enlisted into the Rifle Brigade on 7 January 1871, later transferred to the Army Hospital Corps and joined the Royal Navy in March 1885. Attaining the rank of 2nd Sick Berth Steward, he was discharged on 23 November 1896. Believed to be the only Sickk Berth Attendant entitled to the Burma 1885-7 clasp. Sold with copied service papers and other research.
