During the Great War Gertrude Fanny Fox served at Haslar Hospital until May 1915 and then at the Royal Naval Hospital Malta until the end of 1916, returning to Haslar for the remainder of the war. Sold with copied service details.

Hanson is believed to have served as a Sick Berth Attendant. Medal sold with card forwarding box addressed to the recipient at Dewsbury, Yorkshire, together with forwarding slip, identity disk, 2 cloth badges, 6 buttons and a group photograph
