The Most Ancient and Noble Order of the Thistle, K.T., a rare and unusually large Knight’s breast star, 128 x 118mm., silver, gold and enamels, circa 1800-10, the faceted and pierced silver Cross of Saint Andrew with similar rays issuing from between its angles is of the sprung section type, the springs fashioned in gold, the eight principal points with gold sew-on eyelets, the turned gold centre, 43mm. diameter, bearing a Thistle enamelled in its proper colours encompassed by a green enamelled band with the motto of the Order, unmarked but of the finest quality workmanship, nearly extremely fine £8000-10000
