Richard Williams registered his new company, Prif Trysorfa Cymru Ltd, in 1968. In March 1969 he sent a group of notes for Ten Shillings, One Pound, Five Pounds and Ten Pounds to the Board of Inland Revenue where they all received the necessary duty stamp and were returned to him. The date was March 17, St Patrick’s Day! Media reports at the time referred to the man who was printing his own money. The company was instructed to change its name by the Board of Trade and became the Black Sheep Company of Wales Ltd. Any currency under Five Pounds was now payable One Day After Sight. The only complete set of 32 different 1969 notes, including the One Million Pounds denomination, was offered by order of Mr Williams at Glendining’s, 27 November 1969, lot 1
