The Paranumismatic Stock-In-Trade of the late Bryan Hennem

Bryan Walter Hennem

Bryan Walter Hennem (16 May 1937-5 March 2008), of Basingstoke, was a civil servant who worked in the library service and the Department of Health & Social Security and, after taking early retirement, became a volunteer driver for the ambulance car service. A committed fan of West Ham Football Club and the annual British Token Congress, Bryan started collecting tokens about 25 years ago and quickly developed a passion for all things numismatic from Hampshire. He had hoped to publish a book on the county's paranumismatica, a project that is now being taken forward by Michael Knight. Bryan dispersed his large collections of machine and other tokens, along with his token books, when he discovered that he was terminally ill. What remains is his stock from the token trading venture he ran informally with Duncan Pennock, which is offered here. There is a wide range of local paranumismatica and viewing is strongly advised.

Bryan leaves Kathleen, his wife of over 50 years, three children and two grandchildren.
