Eric Henry Scott-Smith was born in Sialkot, India on 16 February 1895 and was baptised there on 5 April 1895. He was the son of Judge Henry Scott-Smith, of Lahore. Educated at Clifton College, Bristol, 1909-14. Serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 14th Fortress Company, Royal Engineers, he entered Lemnos in September 1915. Contracting dysentry, he died in No. 3 Australian General Hospital, Mudros on 29 October 1915 and was buried in West Mudros. With copied service papers and m.i.c.
