Frank Ewart Tiplady was born in Hornsey, Middlesex on 2 August 1893. Serving in France with the Middlesex Regiment, he died of wounds at No. 18 Casualty Clearing Station, on 27 September 1915, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Lapugnoy Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Samuel Nash Tiplady and Martha Annie Tiplady, of 16 Moss Hall Villas, North Finchley, London.
