Sidney Charles Jackson Bennett enlisted into the Sussex Yeomanry on 6 January 1911. With them he entered Gallipoli on 7 October 1915. He was discharged due to sickness on 20 April 1917 and awarded the Silver War Badge. Latterly employed as a Master Decorator and Electrician, he died in Bexhill on 5 December 1952, aged 60 years. With m.i.c., roll extract and a copy of the death certificate.
