Albert Marshall was born in and enlisted at Nottingham and lived in Carter Gate, Nottingham. Serving in the 1st Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 4 November 1914. He was killed in action on 31 July 1917 during the Third Battle of Ypres. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. Aged 31 years at the time of his death. Albert Marshall was the son of William Marshall, of 7 Carter Place, Carter Gate, Nottingham. With copied research.
