M.I.D. London Gazette 1 January 1916. ‘Miss H. Daly (The London Hospital)’.

Herietta Margaret Daly was a Nurse at the London Hospital, Whitechapel when she enlisted for service at home or abroad on 5 August 1914. She entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 8 August 1914, serving at No.7 Casualty Clearing Station, being posted to No.2 General Hospital in August 1915. She was posted to No.34 C.C.S., September-December 1916, then after leave, to IV Corps No.107 Field Ambulance in April 1917. Service with No.21 C.C.S. from April 1917 was followed by service with No.40 Stationary Hospital, August-October 1917 and March-September 1918. She resigned from the service in February 1919. Sold with a quantity of copied service papers and other research including m.i.c. - which confirms the 1914 Star but makes no mention of the clasp. Also with original letter forwarding M.I.D. emblems and War Medal ribbon, together with the registered envelope addressed to Miss H. M. Daly at Streatham Common, London.
