Roman Imperial Coinage, Gratian (367-383), Miliarensis, Trier, 367-75, d n gratia-nvs p f avg, small pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. virtvs exercitvs, Emperor standing left in military attire, holding standard (with spur to right) and shield, tr ps. in exergue, 4.05g/12h (Ghey 8a, this coin; Hoxne 66; RIC IX p.19, 26(e); RSC 52+b). Minor hairline surface mark at 9 o’clock, otherwise extremely fine, attractive dark patina, very rare £1,200–£1,500
