Bank of Folly, an April Fool note, denominated in a single Fool (i.e. the receiver of the note!), at the Temple of Folly, 1 April 1947, serial number A/F 71841, signature of ‘Wide Awake’, with an amusing vignette of a man waggling his fingers with his thumb on his nose, decent quality printing on very thin paper, clean and fresh, a few folds in upper and lower margins good very fine and rare
