1st Class Sub-Assistant Surgeon Dayal Singh, Indian Subordinate Medical Department, was born on 28 February 1881 and entered the I.S.M.D. in March 1902. He served in the Tibet Expedition and was later awarded the Indian Meritorious Service Medal for his services in Mesopotamia during the Great War.
