Dunbarton Burgh Police and Dumbartonshire Constabulary.
The first a kepi badge is in die-stamped white metal, St. Edward’s crown over a title strap, ‘Dunbarton Burgh Police’, enclosing the Arms of the Royal Burgh (one of two lugs re-soldered); The second and third are stated to be helmet plates, c1887 onwards, both are in die-stamped white metal, St. Edward’s and the Imperial crowns over circular straps, ‘Dumbartonshire Constabulary’. The centre, presumably the castle from the elephant’s back is now enhanced with a flag. It is not part of any official Arms connected with the county.
