Harry Lovelock was born at Northop, Flintshire in 1899 and served in the 2nd Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers during the Great War on the Western Front, and subsequently with the 1st Battalion on the North West Frontier of India. He was discharged in 1922 on termination of his engagement.
