Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (James Edward Hutton Freeman), fitted within a carved wooden plaque, 303 x 250mm., very fine £100-150

2nd Lieutenant James Edward Hutton Freeman, 7th Battalion Royal West Surrey Regiment was attached as a Pilot flying D.H.2’s with 29th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps. He was killed in action on 24 April 1916, aged 19 years. The son of Joseph Hutton and Edith Helen Freeman of The Farm, Crockham Hill, Edenbridge, Kent; he was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery.
