Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Walter James Cresdee), in card envelope with associated slip, extremely fine £40-60

Mechanician Walter James Cresdee, Royal Navy, was killed in action in the battle of Jutland, 31 May 1916, whilst serving on the battlecruiser H.M.S. Queen Mary. Aged 40, he was the husband of Ada Bertha Cresdee of 1 Diamond Cottages, Droxford, Hampshire. Sold with medal forwarding slip, addressed to Mrs A. B. Cresdee, for the 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals.
