Distinguished Conduct Medal, G.V.R. (13600 Pte., 1/C. Gds.); Military Medal, G.V.R. (13600 Sjt., D.C.M., 1/C. Gds.); 1914-15 Star (13600 Pte., C. Gds.); British War and Victory Medals (13600 Sjt., C. Gds.) first two with contact wear and some edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine, the trio good very fine or better (5) £1600-1800

D.C.M. London Gazette 21 june 1916: ‘For conspicuous gallantry during a bomb attack on the enemy’s trenches. The party came under machine gun fire in the open, and, though three men were killed, he remained, throwing his bombs till recalled. He also has rescued a wounded man under fire.’
