Anthony Joseph Azzopardi was born in Cardiff, Glamorgan on 3 June 1958. A Hospital Park-Room Technician by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Marines in September 1975. He served in Northern Ireland with 40 Commando, possibly at Bessbrook during 1976 and Ballykelly during 1979-80, and later served with the 3rd Commando Brigade R.M. in the Falklands War. Azzopardi held the rank of Lance-Corporal between January 1980 and October 1982 and was discharged having completed his period of service in June 1985; being enrolled into the R.F.R. during 1985-88. Sold with original Royal Marine Certificate of Service, Testimonial and photograph.
