John Perry was the son of Thomas and Angelina Perry of Broadway, Worcestershire and husband of Annie Perry of The Bow, Carlisle. Volunteering for service in the Army Veterinary Corps, he died on attachment to the 1st Guards Briagde on 15 February 1919, aged 35 years. He was buried in the Cologne Southern Cemetery. Sold with card box of issue and original registered envelope (both damaged); illuminated memorial scroll; M.I.D certificate; transmission slip for M.I.D. oak leaf and accompanying slip and instructions for wearing an oak leaf emblem.
