Private Alan Northeast Light, 31st Battalion Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment) was killed in action at the battle of Flers-Courcelette, 15 September 1916, aged 28 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. He was the son of Edward and Agnes Light of Station Road, Gillingham, Dorset, England. Sold with some research.
