Francis McCormack was born in and enlisted at Dublin. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 14 April 1915. He was killed in action on 24 May 1915 during the 2nd battle of Ypres. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of Thomas and Catherine McCormack of 124 Upper Abbey Street, Dublin. Sold with copied m.i.c.
