Wilfred Tattersall lived at St. Anne’s-on-Sea, Lancashire and enlisted at Blackpool. Serving with the 1st/4th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 1 April 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

Henry Capper was born and lived in Salford, Lancashire and enlisted at Manchester. Serving with the 21st Battalion Manchester Regiment, he was killed in action on 1 July 1916 - the first day of the battle of the Somme. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
