Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill (3247 Corpl. Sh. Sth. J. H. Capper, 6/Drgns.) nearly very fine £60-80

Joseph H. Capper was born in Liverpool and enlisted there into the 6th Dragoons on 2 November 1892, aged 18 years 9 months, a shoeing smith by trade. He served in South Africa from October 1899 to November 1902 (Queen’s Medal with 4 clasps, King’s Medals with 2 clasps). He was discharged at Dublin on 2 November 1904. Sold with copy discharge papers.
