Samuel Nicholls Walker joined the India Police Department on 1 December 1880 as Inspector-General of Frontier Police. Appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police in September 1884 and District Superintendent in May 1894. Actively employed in the Lushai district during 1889-92. Superintendent Walker retired in June 1914.
