Served in the Shabkadar campaign, under Brevet-Colonel A. F. Macdonell, in which three troops of the 7th Hussars were present; approx. 145 clasps for this campaign to the regiment. Wood also entitled to the Indian Mutiny Medal with clasp ‘Lucknow’ as a Corporal in the 7th Hussars.
