Roderick McKenzie was born in the Parish of Lochbroom, near Dingwall, Rosshire and enlisted into the army in 1794, aged 20 years. He served in the 42nd Foot from 7 August 1795 to 12 October 1815 and in the 3rd Royal Veterans Battalion from 13 October 1815 until the battalion’s disbandment on 14 May 1816. During the course of his military service he was wounded in the left leg. Sold with copied discharge papers. Clasps confirmed.
