Robert Caverhill (note incorrect initial on medal) was appointed as Hospital Mate on 21 December 1811, becoming Hospital Assistant on 23 March 1815. He served in the Peninsula in 1812, 13, and 14, and at the battle of Waterloo in 1815. He was appointed Assistant Surgeon on the Staff on 28 December 1820, but had already died earlier that month in Barbados on 9 December.
