1st Essex Volunteer Artillery Prize Badges, a fine and scarce gold wire and multi coloured silks shield shaped sleeve badge, the central reserve in white/blue silk and ornamented with a fused grenade linstock and ordnance, the outer border in purple silk and gold thread ‘First Essex Volunteer Artillery’; a star shaped badge in gold thread and silks the raised centre in purple silk with crossed cannon barrels and initials ‘ERDA’, the border in white/blue silks ‘Essex Artillery Vol 1891’; a small gilt metal cannon badge with silk panel below ‘1st Essex A 1890 V’, good overall condition (3) £100-120
